How Adopting a Hybrid Model with a Virtual Interpreter Call Center Can Make Your In-House Interpreters More Efficient
The following is a guest article by Kristin Quinlan, CEO at Certified Languages International (CLI) With 1 in 5 residents speaking a language other than English at home and an expanding diversity of languages spoken in the U.S., language access services are only increasing in importance for healthcare organizations. Many large hospital systems have a team of in-house interpreters, but it can be challenging to manage those resources—hospitals often expend a lot of time and money as interpreters travel from one facility to another or make house calls with traveling nurses.  That’s why a small but growing number of leadi...

Patient Experience Insights from Qualtrics ’ X4 Conference
This week I’ve been able to attend part of the X4 user conference that’s hosted by Qualtrics.  I’m slightly biased to this conference since when I attended last year I happened to meet my wife on that trip, but that’s a story for another day.  Let’s just say that my conference ratings and experience last year were off the charts.  However, even if I hadn’t found the love of my life on that trip, I still love X4 because it looks at healthcare from a very different perspective than most of the other conferences out there.  Part of that is that their Chief Medical Officer, Adrienne Bois...

Finding Meaning in Data Device manufacturers are finding more and more things to track. While some people love measurements such as steps taken through the day, and there’s even a site called Quantified Self exploiting this fad, most people don’t care about data unless they s...
