Clinically relevant factors associated with a binary outcome of diabetic macular ischaemia: an OCTA study
Conclusion
We reported a series of associated factors of SCP-DMI and DCP-DMI. The binary outcome of DMI might promote a simplified OCTA-based DMI evaluation before subsequent quantitative analysis for assessing DMI extent and fulfil the urge for an updating diabetic retinal disease staging to be implemented with OCTA. Trends in diabetic eye disorders and associated comorbidities in Taiwan: a 10-year nationwide population-based cohort study
Conclusion
The prevalence and incidence of DR, PDR and aPDR decreased with time in patientsT2DM, while the ratio of DME increased gradually. The incidence of hyperlipidaemia also increased in all forms of diabetic eye disorders, while ESRD increased solely in DME. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Early changes in photopic negative response in eyes with glaucoma with and without choroidal detachment after filtration surgery
Conclusion
Even in the early postoperative period within several days, the PhNR amplitude increased with IOP lowering following filtration surgery in the absence of CD. The presence of CD may arrest the improvement of the retinal ganglion cell function. The present results enhance understanding the structural and functional recovery after glaucoma surgery and the role of postoperative CD. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Macula structural and vascular differences in glaucoma eyes with and without high axial myopia
Conclusions
As thinner GCIPL and GCC were associated with increasing severity of glaucoma but were not significantly associated with AL, they may be useful for monitoring glaucoma in highly myopic eyes. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Impact of peripapillary retinoschisis on visual field test results in glaucomatous eyes
Conclusion
PRS has no short-term effect on the VF sensitivity. Therefore, VF test can still be useful for evaluating glaucomatous damage even in the presence of PRS compared with OCT. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Machine learning identifying peripheral circulating metabolites associated with intraocular pressure alterations
Conclusion
We identify several novel blood metabolites associated with IOP. These findings may provide insight into the physiological and pathological processes underlying IOP control. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Association between statin use and rates of structural and functional loss in glaucoma
Conclusions
We did not find a statistically significant association between statin use or duration of statin use and rates of structural and functional change in those with glaucoma or glaucoma suspects. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Cataract progression after Nd:YAG laser iridotomy in primary angle-closure suspect eyes
Conclusion
Although lenses were graded on average as slightly more opaque in laser-treated eyes, prophylactic neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet LPI did not cause significant cataract progression. Our results suggest that LPI treatment of asymptomatic narrow angles does not increase the risk of developing clinically meaningful cataract worsening over time.

Validation of the RCOphth and UKEGS glaucoma risk stratification tool 'GLAUC-STRAT-fast
Conclusion
The GLAUC-STRAT fast tool is a useful tool for risk stratifying eyes with ocular hypertension or open angle glaucoma. Further research is needed to confirm and validate its applicability to more advanced glaucomas and generalisability to clinical use.

Incidence and clinical characteristics of paediatric keratitis
Conclusions
Keratitis, regardless of aetiology, was observed in approximately 1 in 1300 children by 19 years of age in this population-based cohort. Nearly half were related to contact lens wear and a decrease in vision to ≤ 20/40 occurred in 1 in 12 patients. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Rheumatoid arthritis-associated peripheral ulcerative keratitis outcomes after early immunosuppressive therapy
Conclusion
Eyes with RA-associated PUK exposed to early IMT were more likely to achieve earlier inflammatory control, fewer recurrences and had better visual outcomes. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Workflow and treatment results for computer-aided design and 3D-printed conformer therapy of congenital anophthalmia and microphthalmia
Conclusion
3D-design and printing of solid conformers results in highly acceptable horizontal eyelid symmetry in the treatment of congenital MICA. The mean increase in conformer height and width in the first 10 months should be about 170% for moderate and about 200% for severe MICA. The presented conformer size formulas can aid ophthalmologists and ocularists to plan conformer treatment. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Specific location of ocular adnexal lymphoma and mortality: an international multicentre retrospective study
Conclusion
Disease-specific mortality is associated with AJCC/TNM T-stage in primary ocular adnexal EMZL patients. Lymphoma of the eyelid has the highest disease-specific mortality in primary EMZL, and in the full cohort of EMZL and DLBCL patients. (Source: British Journal of Ophthalmology)

Genetic treatment for autosomal dominant inherited retinal dystrophies: approaches, challenges and targeted genotypes
Inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) have been in the front line of gene therapy development for the last decade, providing a useful platform to test novel therapeutic approaches. More than 40 clinical trials have been completed or are ongoing, tackling autosomal recessive and X-linked conditions, mostly through adeno-associated viral vector delivery of a normal copy of the disease-causing gene. However, only recently has autosomal dominant (ad) disease been targeted, with the commencement of a trial for rhodopsin (RHO)-associated retinitis pigmentosa (RP), implementing antisense oligonucleotide (AON) therapy, with promising ...

Specific location of ocular adnexal lymphoma and mortality: an international multicentre retrospective study (see page 1231) A comparison of 1168 patients with ocular adnexal lymphoma found eyelid location had significantly higher disease-specific mortality than other ocular adnexal locations in both extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Workflow and treatment results for computer aided design and 3D-printed conformer therapy of congenital anophthalmia and microphthalmia (see page 1239) This is the largest retrospective analysis of conformer therapy for congenital microphthalmia and an...
