Prognostic benefits of His ‐Purkinje capture in physiological pacemakers for bradycardia
ConclusionConduction system capture is associated with improved clinical outcomes. CSP should be preferred over VSP or RVP during pacing for bradycardia. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Atrial fibrillation and risk of adverse outcomes in heart failure with reduced, mildly reduced, and preserved ejection fraction: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsAF appears to be associated with a higher risk of all-cause mortality and HF hospitalization in HFmrEF and HFpEF. With these findings, the paucity of data and treatment guidelines on AF in the HFmrEF subgroup becomes even more significant and warrant further investigations. Centennial of the original description of Mobitz type II second ‐degree atrioventricular block
AbstractThe year 2024 marks the centenary of Mobitz's description of type II second-degree atrioventricular block. Its definition remains valid to this day with only minor modification for the diagnosis of infranodal conduction block. Mobitz a century ago indicated that his type II atrioventricular block was associated with Stock-Adams attacks and a prolonged duration of the QRS complex before the eventual description of bundle branch block. Brugada syndrome in Iran: Insights from a 12 ‐year longitudinal study
ConclusionsSymptomatic patients with BrS are more likely to present with spontaneous type 1 Brugada ECG pattern, longer PR interval, and pathogenic mutation in SCN5A gene. Appropriate ICD interventions are more likely in symptomatic patients and those withSCN5A mutation. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Safety and efficacy of combined dilation/stenting of venous abnormalities, including complete obstructions, during lead extractions in patients with congenital heart disease
ConclusionLead extraction along with dilation and stenting of venous anomalies, though long in duration, proved effective with minimal complications. This combined procedure can safely and effectively resolve complete obstructions secondary to transvenous leads. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

A zero ‐exchange approach for left atrial access in pulmonary vein isolation with pulsed field ablation
ConclusionDirect TSP with skipping sheath exchange using the large diameter Faradrive sheath for PVI with PFA was safe, feasible, and reduced costs in all patients. Large scale studies and registries are needed to verify this workflow. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Late life ‐threatening arrhythmia in patients with Brugada syndrome: Results from long‐term follow‐up in a large Japanese cohort
ConclusionOur results suggest that patients with BrS who are asymptomatic and have no ventricular tachycardia/VF inducibility by PES are at extremely low risk of experiencing late life-threatening arrhythmias. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Evaluation of patients with implantable cardioverter ‐defibrillator in a Latin American tertiary center
ConclusionMortality and combined outcome rates decreased gradually for ICD patients during the periods 2011 –2014 and 2015–2018 compared to the initial period (2007–2010). ChD was associated with higher VT/VF events in ICD patients, only in the first two periods. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)
