Postpartum depression symptoms among Syrian refugee women living in Jordan
ABSTRACTPostpartum depression (PPD) is recognized as a common maternal health problem, but few studies have investigated the postpartum mental health of refugee women. In this cross ‐sectional study, we investigated the prevalence of PPD symptoms and associated factors among Syrian refugee women living in north Jordan. Women (N = 365) were recruited from four health care centers in Ramtha and Jarash, cities in northern Jordan. Participants completed a demographic data form, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), and the Maternal Social Support Scale at 6–8 weeks postpartum. Half (49.6%;n = 181) of the...

Beyond concept analysis: Uses of mind mapping software for visual representation, management, and analysis of diverse digital data
Mind mapping is a visual ‐spatial method of representing information using nodes (information segments) to show ideas and connecting lines to define relationships between content. As a critical thinking tool, it is applicable to a range of research activities, including information management, project development, and dat a analysis. The purposes of this manuscript are to describe the use of mapping for qualitative data analysis, provide step‐by‐step instructions of how to construct mind maps, and present examples specific to qualitative data analysis. An example from a recent study of patient and provider percep tio...

Associations of Organizational Justice and Job Characteristics with Work Engagement Among Nurses in Hospitals in China
In this study, we surveyed a total of 1,065 nurses chosen from seven hospitals in China by random cluster sampling to explore the state of nurse engagement and its associations with organizational justice and job characteristics. The mean score for nurse engagement was 3.5 (SD  = 1.5) on a 0–6 scale, and in hierarchical multiple regression analyses we found that nurse engagement had statistically significant relationships with the two organizational justice dimensions of distributive justice (β = 0.13,p <  .01) and informational justice (β = 0.17,p <  .05); and the three job characteristic dim...
