Comment: Since I was always recommended to give my children a spoon of Calpol/Tylenol after their shots to keep any fever down as a result of their vaccines, I decided to instead start giving them the spoon of medicine about 45 minutes before the vaccine, thereby avoiding any fever in the first place and also reducing the pain felt at the time of the vaccine. Seemed like common sense to me and seemed to reduce any discomfort since they never cried when receiving injections after I started doing this (whereas they did before). Nice to read here that this approach is being recommended by professionals.
