Latest Comment by Atul Patel, CDRI, Lucknow - July 31, 2009: Although Beckmann rearrangement is known about 100 years ago, but this reaction is so imporatnt because without any external reagent it converts to thioamide. This is very useful reaction where we have to introduce nitrogen and thionate the carbonyl group in single step
