It seemed to me that when I did the calculations, there was a much greater risk of her suffering a serious reaction to the vaccine, than contracting HPV and then going on to develop cancer as a result of the virus 'within the time period that protection from the vaccine offered' (an important point that I think is overlooked when calculating how many lives will be saved compared to the risk of the vaccine).
