Hi everyone, I am looking at two different SMP's and wondering which would be the best for me, given my stats, to gain admission to a D.O/M.D. program starting Fall 2014. Hellow! I finally got an interview at Western U (seriously after about 4 or 5 years of trying). It'll be in exactly 10 days from now. I'm a bit nervous. I don't know what to expect. Should I retake Gen Bio I or wait until the Fall?
I'm so lost on what to do. I received a D in General Biology I lecture this fall. I passed all my other courses I took and got B's and A's in them. Which Biology Labs Count?
Sorry, I've asked this question a few months ago, but I think people misinterpreted the question at the time. For biology, I completed Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. However, due to high demand, the associated cell biology lab is impossible to get into (think about asking 2 years in advance) and the molecular biology lab is poorly taught (has awful reviews). 2014 MCAT, do I only need the Few Four?
I'm wanting to take the MCAT in summer 2014. Since I'm not taking the updated version, should I only need the classes General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, and Physics going to be enough to get me a good grade if I know those four subjects well? "Vinegar test" as alternative to cytology
I just heard a story on NPR about a clinical test that involves application of acetic acid to the cervix to identify precancerous lesions. The gist of the story was that this screening method was somehow more accurate than traditional cytology. Usually NPR is pretty good, but I have doubts about this claim. Anyone hear of this test? Advice needed regarding LORs
So, I am currently having a dilemma about the Letter of Recommendation requirements. It seems like most schools require you to have at least 2 LORs from science faculties that have taught you, and 1 LOR from non-science. I have 1 from an English professor, 1 from a science faculty, and 2 LORs from doctors who I do clinical and research for. What do I do with that 2nd LOR from science professor required for most med schools?!? MD What Are My Chances? 3.77GPA 37MCAT with an IA

Anyone else having regrets about this program? The program doesn't seem at all interested in making you a better applicant. Its just like theyre funneling students through as another means of income. It's almost impossible to find an advisor who would actually help you out or give you advice, they all seem to give one sentence replys and direct you elsewhere.
