Laurie Garrett’s Coronavirus
For those who attended the final MLA session with Laurie Garrett this year, you may be interested in the World Health Organization update on the cornavirus she talked about that emerged in the Middle East.  The virus has been officially been named Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and is distantly related to the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) virus.
