The future of NHS dentistry: improving quality and outcomes
As outlined in NHS Dental Contract: Proposals for Pilots (December 2010), the Government is seeking to put in place an NHS dental service delivering ‘high quality clinically appropriate preventative, routine and complex care’ for those who choose it. Following a period of consultation, a trial scheme was launched in September 2011 with 70 pilots.This timely symposium offers an invaluable opportunity to analyse the Government’s plan for modernising NHS dentistry and assess and debate the key developments in improving quality and outcomes for all dental patients. Evidence based dentistry
Oxford University is offering a 2-day introductory course or a longer 5-day course in Evidence Based Dentistry. The course has been developed specifically for dentists and other oral healthcare professionals who either want an introduction to evidence based dentistry or a more comprehensive course. The course aims to help dentists and oral health care professionals develop their understanding of the evidence-based approach and become more efficient at using the best available evidence in their clinical and policy decisions.
