Latest Comment by Frankie Dolan - July 15, 2009: I was wondering if the quantity of the virus with which you get infected may have a difference on the severity of your illness. This interesting article suggests that it may.
When a head teacher in the US died of the illness I wondered whether being a head teacher at a school where there was a significant outbreak he had been in contact with a massive dose of the virus which may have effected his outcome.
This makes me think that taking extra care with cleanliness is important even if you think that contamination is inevitable, since at least you may minimise any does of this illness that you do eventually get. It a...

Latest Comment by xen - July 14, 2009: “It is very important that members of the public do not panic, and continue to follow health advice about swine flu and managing it if they are infected. The vast majority will recover quickly by taking paracetamol or ibuprofen and drinking plenty of fluids.”
So exactly what are you telling us now? that swine flu goes away with paracetamol? The impression was that until now anyone with swine flu was being treated with antivirals. Does the NHS actually have and use that Tamiflu stockpile they have been telling us about or not?

Latest Comment by Sanjeeb Kr. Jha, MBBS Student. - February 3, 2009: Only culling of birds and ducks is not sufficient to overcome the outbreak of H5N1 epidemic. The government of Nepal should completely ban the import of poultry goods from the districts linked to the border of the neighbouring countries India and China. Since, China and India has already reported the human deaths because of bird flu, it is quite important for the government of Nepal to be alert to prevent the introduction of any kind of strain of bird flu in our country. China has already reported the second largest human deaths due to bird flu in this year only. So, all these points could be the government's precautionary...

Latest Comment by faith_71031 - March 11, 2008: I would like answers to a few questions. 1. What questions does the paper address? 2. What are the main conclusions of the paper? 3. What evidence supports those conclusions? 4. Do the data actually support teh conclusions? 5. What is the quality fo the evidence? 6. Why are the conclusions important? If anyone can, please answer these 6 questions for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
