Latest Comment by Chinese Astrology - September 8, 2009: Anything in moderation wont be a problem. Look at this:
Teenage kids and cell phone use? Come on! I think some of them have a cell phone permenantly implanted in their skull, which by itself should be more worrisome than the potential for cancer !!!

Latest Comment by Michelle D - September 7, 2009: Ok here's my take on this issue.
Even though using cell phones increases the risk of cancer, or any health risk at all, the world is just not going to stop and drop all cell phones. Cell phones are vital amongst us, and will not be dismissed easily.
The world's population would have been radically reduced if humans are so vulnerable to cancers and by using cell phones we get diseases. But that's not the case as of now, therefore it is still safe to use the cell phones. At least, when one gets the risk, other people also gets it.

Latest Comment by Frankie Dolan - September 3, 2009: Like it or not, patients will look increasingly to the Internet for information on their own conditions. Better to get used to the idea and move with the times than resist change like a stick in the mud. Don't like it? Get over it and work out how you are going to deal with, and work with, the changing times.
Doctors have to get comfortable with very well informed (as well as misinformed) patients, and learn to work with their patients, guiding them where appropriate. Gone are the days that you can dish out prescriptions that are accepted without question. Accept that everything you do will be questioned and verified, a...

Latest Comment by americna acupuncture - November 11, 2008: Nationwide electronic medical-information system coming soon. How can you maintain patient privacy?
Changing the coding system that doctors and hospital use to bill insurers to undergo complete overhaul within the next
three years. It will be the next step in a nationwide electronic medical-information system.
There will be more billing errors, you the patient will be overcharged, the insurance company will be able to deny your doctor’s claim stating it didn’t have the proper code. There will be more billing fraud and you and the doctors will not be paid quickly. You will need to give the doctor more medical...

Latest Comment by Frankie Dolan - October 8, 2007: Surely this is a major step backwards? From what I understand, the problem with the centralised system was that the questions were poor and doctors were not given sufficient room to put down all their experience, both problems that could have been easily rectified for the next time around. There were also some problems in accessing the server, due to heavy traffic, which I am also sure could have been rectified. In addition, it was considered that the selection process was unfair, and that doctors should have been able to apply for as many positions as they wanted – both of which were not problems with the system.
