A few questions about obtaining medical training in Ireland
Greetings, all!
I have a few questions regarding obtaining medical training in Ireland... specifically higher specialty training.
>> As of now, after talking with representatives/agents in the Irish Medical Council, the best I can do at this point is to apply for registration into the general registry. I am a Category 4 applicant - I did my medical schooling and postgraduate internship in a non-EU/EEA country - however, I completed my residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in critical/intensive care medicine in the US. They stated that applicants who do not have the equivalent or a Certificate of Ex...

Access to Medicine Course help - please!
Hello!
This is my first message on here and I was wondering whether anyone could advise me on a couple of questions I have?
I have applied for an Access to Medicine course twice already, and unfortunately I did not get in. I am wanting to apply for a third time, and wanted to know whether taking an Anataomy and Physiology course (from home) could help? Or whether a biology course or anything else would be advantageous?
Background info -I am 23. I have no previous experience in a clinical setting which is why I believe I did not get in to the course previously. I have however, cared for my partner for the last 2 years a...

Access To Medicine - Does no one want me!?
Hello,
I am getting a little bit frustrated and wondering if anyone can give me some advice and positivity!
I am an intensive care nurse and I qualified in 2010 with an ordinary degree (BA) with distinction (I never sat an honours year, hence no classification).
I was originally looking at the foundation year entry, but because I sat Advanced Higher Chemistry in 2002 I am not allowed to apply as I am overqualified. However I am not qualified ENOUGH for graduate entry medicine.
SO, I am looking at Access To Medicine, in particular Brighton, West Anglia and Lambeth College.
But, before getting all ready to app...
