Vioxx Attorney Denied Admission In New Jersey Court discuss this article1 Comment

Latest Comment by Another vioxx victim - June 26, 2009: Shouldn't a claimant have the right to obtain counsel that is familiar with the Vioxx litigation and have them admitted pro hac vice in order to represent their client in that matter? The decision to allow that attorney admittance should be up to the client, especially when the disciplinary action was based on an event that happened years ago and was resolved at that time, and the client is aware of those actions. Especially since Merck has tied the hands of any other attorney that is participating in the Vioxx litigation. It appears to me that this lawyer that wants to be admitted pro hac vice is not owned by Merck.

Latest Comment by Another vioxx victim - June 26, 2009: Any attorney that uses coercion, threats, intimidation and dishonesty to have their client sign a Release that exonerates the defendants from any wrong doing AND uses the same tactics to force their client to sign away their rights for an unknown outcome, should be disbarred. This country should be ashamed of itself for closing their eyes to the purchase of our judicial system by big pharma.

PSC Seeks Discovery Of 250 MDL Cases Within 6 Months discuss this article1 Comment
Source: LexisNexis® Mealey's™ Arthritis Drugs Legal News Category: Medical Law
Latest Comment by Dennis Harrison (bones) - May 12, 2008: Kind of odd timing, don't you think. Just 6 months later (almost) a terrible, terrible "settlement" - and "private" at that was drawn up. Hopefully there are enough forces to stop this...and what it really is, a very first major step at Mass Tort reform which looks to take the rights away from indivuduals and place it into the hands of attorneys, federal agencies, and corporations. How many rights are the American people going to just stand and watch be taken away....and this is a biggie...and something could in fact be done if the attorneys who "know the score" do something about it. Some have the backbone, some don't ...

Source: LexisNexis® Mealey's™ Emerging Drugs & Devices Legal News Category: Medical Law
Latest Comment by madandhurt - January 12, 2008: Today is January 12,2008. I don't know why 2 plaintiffs chose not to accept the settlement offered. $33,000.00 was my sttlement offer from Eli Lilly. And they feel they are giving that out of the "goodness" of their "hearts". They are telling victims their cases are weak, and to sign this paper, accept this lttle money, and "shut Up"! Eli Lilly cannot force a spouse to accept this amount for the death and murder of an innocent mate! So, I rejected that settlement offer!!!
