I sympathise a lot as I have been suffering with heavy periods since my teens, was put on the pill for this at 16 got pregnant at 19 whilst on the pill, after having my daughter it got worse. From then on I had more pain clotted periods a couple of D & C’s then I had my son, then even more pain I had a laparoscopy where they found cysts on my ovary. All the time the pain was getting worse. I then had my last child when I was 27 and I was steri...

I had my hysterectomy on Monday and came home yesterday from hospital on day four. I lost a lot of blood during surgery and needed transfusions. The consultant came to see me and said it was the worst case of endometriosis that she had ever seen. Characteristics of first-time fathers of advanced age: a Norwegian population-based study
Conclusions: Men who expect their first baby at an advanced or very advanced age constitute a socioeconomically heterogeneous group with more health problems and more risky health behaviour than younger men. Since older men often have their first child with a woman of advanced age, in whom similar characteristics have been reported, their combined risk of adverse perinatal outcomes needs further attention by clinicians and researchers. Transition to motherhood in type 1 diabetes: design of the pregnancy and postnatal well-being in transition questionnaires
Conclusions: The questionnaires fill an important gap by systematically assessing the psychosocial needs of women with type 1 diabetes during pregnancy and in the immediate postnatal period. The questionnaires can be used in larger data collection to establish psychometric properties. The questionnaires potentially play a key role in prospective research to determine the self-management and psychological needs of women with type 1 diabetes transitioning to motherhood and to evaluate health education interventions.
