Private donations are up at UC Santa Cruz. According to the university, private donors gave nearly $24 million in fiscal year 2011-2012, an increase of 9.4 percent year over year. High Point Regional issues warning on fungal meningitis

Feds re-up BioLabs funding for radiation drug
Cleveland BioLabs Inc. received an increase in funding from a federal contract supporting its radiation treatment drug. Per-worker health insurance climbs over $10,000 a year
The average cost to Denver businesses of insuring workers rose above $10,000 for each employee for the first time in 2012. But an increase of 4½ percent per worker was companies’ smallest in more than six years, according to a study released Wednesday by Aon Hewitt, a human resources consulting firm.
