Such meds, meds that affect the mind, are called psychotropic medications. SSRIs also include a few meds in this class with the addition of a norepinephrine uptake inhibitor added to the SSRI, and these are referred to SNRI medications. There are going to be so many still who are going to need help. I know. I have the nightmares, flashbacks, etc., like the Viet Nam vets I volunteered with in the 80's. You become a different person and never are exactly the same as before. I am thankful I have my writings and art to escape into. Thank you for your research and continue to help us.

What I am curious about is whether or not there will be a parallel development of treatments for pediatric bipolar disorder. BPD has the potential to become the next big money spinner for pharmaceutical companies.
