laptop question for current rads residents
Hi All I'm looking to get a new laptop that'll hopefully last me throughout my whole rads residency but just wanted to find out if there's any particular laptop specifications I should keep in mind. Have you found that the laptop needs to be more powerful (with regards to processor speed and/or memory) b/c of the radiology images or videos that may need to viewed on it? Thanks for the advice

MPJE Pennsylvania - How I passed.
In conclusion, I was on question 6 and already felt I was going to have to retake the exam. I definitely knew some questions like the back of my hand, and others I stared at the screen, not remembering reading an ounce of information relating to the subject, and overall felt I could've failed or passed. As I was taking the exam, for the most part, it wasn't "hard" but it's all a matter of how well you remember the material, what material they ask about, and how they word the question. There seemed to be a lot more "choose all that apply" and "A-E", as opposed to the K-type questions. Hopefull...

SRNA observation
I spoke to a SRNA the other day and was amazed at what I perceived as her extreme naivete. She goes to a private college with tuition up to 50k per year. I made a joke about joining the military and having no loans. She then said that she "doesn't think the military can feed her" and that she's glad that she can pay all her loans with "the first year as a practicing CRNA". I'm familiar with med students and false salary expectations, but I almost laugh at her when I heard this from a SRNA. Maybe, I'm wrong and CRNAs are starting off at 300k per year. I do know I'm not going hungry with the military.

Stuck on what to do
Hey guys, was hoping I could get a bit of insight. Last year I applied to both Lambeth & City & Islington access courses. I didn't get on either. The City and Islington one didn't give any feedback but Lambeth rejected on the basis that even though my maths test score was high enough, my GCSE wasn't! They said come back next year with a GCSE Maths grade B or alternatively you can do it with us for something like £800! Safe to say I was pretty peed off. So the last year I have been trying to reassess my options. I applied AGAIN for both access courses and applied to do a GCSE maths qualification which was due to s...

Paying for MSW
Hi- I am 100% dedicated to getting my MSW and becoming a social worker. I have applied for programs in Massachusetts and gotten into Simmons, Salem State, and BU. I am still waiting to hear from BC and Smith. My top choices are Simmons and Smith. Simmons and BU have offered me "financial aid" packages of a $20,500 unsubsidized loan (per year)... But I don't want to come out of school with massive debt. Does anyone have any experience or advice? I am a little terrified of the costs and would love any help I can get. Should I call the financial aid offices and ask what they would do in my position? Is it better to...
