That’s right! That little brown coffee bean packs a mighty wallop and seems to fight off the advances of the nasty Hepatitis C liver virus.

Apparently coffee beans help the liver but not the brain, and doesn’t seem to protect against stupid nose piercings…”She’s beautiful and likes to bathe in beans, and she has a metal rod jutting out from her nose.” ”Bonus, he said.”
Is coffee antiviral? YES it seems.
People living with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection who drink three or more cups of coffee per day have a 53 percent lower risk of liver disease progression than non-coffee drinkers, according to a new study authored by Neal Freedman, PhD, MPH, of the National Cancer Institute. Green or Black Tea didn’t do anything for Hep C.

Feel free to predict which one of the 8 test subjects have vaginal orgasms!
A new study found that trained sexologists could infer a woman’s history of vaginal orgasm by observing the way she walks. So take a look at this picture, and from left to right, which of these 8 women do you think have vaginal orgasms? “Professional sexologists” were able to correctly infer vaginal orgasm through watching the way the women walked over 80 percent of the time.
Lady Gaga

Further analysis revealed that the sum of stride length and vertebral rotation was greater for the vaginally orgasmic women. When you calculate “Lady” Gaga’s stride length, you must take into account a variance in heel heig...

News Flash! “You get smarter the more you walk!” Brain Size Matters!

What?
Scientists have found in a recent study that walking increases the volume and the efficiency of the brain, and also improves memory and attention. New research is focused on why this doesn’t seem to affect blondes in the same way. Rumor is they are focusing on Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears as test subjects.

As little as three hours a week of brisk walking over a period of 6 months increases blood flow to the the brain and triggers biochemical changes that increase production of new brain neurons. Stretching , sex, and non-aerobic exercise has no effect on brain size. (obviously, Pamela Anderson and Jenna Jameson)

I calculated it out, that in order to be sm...

And now, Britney Spears is worried that her older son, Sean Preston, might be autistic. It’s reported that he “often seems to be off in his own little world” (admittedly, rather vague symptoms of autism)—-it does seem that, if your young child has any developmental delays and “keeps to himself,” dread of autism looms.
Thinking about this has led to me to reflect on the times people seems to be looking a bit too much in our direction, and a bit too long. Just last week a mother at the pool—a mother who, I had noted, seemed to be watching Charlie with some sort of “look” on her face—approached me, said her son had PDD-NOS, and maybe was Charlie autistic? And asked about schools and services?
I thought about all the times people seem...

Not that this is becoming the autism celebrity blog or anything—–but just read that Britney Spears is worried her 2-year-old son, Jeyden James, has autism. The source is via Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline; according to a “Federline insider,” Jeyden is “very calm and hard to get through to” and that he “does not mix with other children, and prefers to keep away from the crowd.” YellMalta notes that the “news comes after People Magazine reported that the singer attended a fund raiser for Generation Rescue.” A little competition for Jenny (not that she didn’t already have some from Amanda).
If there are concerns, hope the 2-year-old can be evaluated soon.

Wachter’s World : Snooping At Britney’s Chart: Why Should Docs and Nurses Have Different Rules?
Should doctors and nurses be subject to different penalties for precisely the same infraction? Of course not. Are they? Sure.
Just ask Britney Spears.
Britney was hospitalized at UCLA at least twice in the past few years – once when she gave birth to her first son in 2005, and again in early 2008 for psychiatric care. Both times, dozens of UCLA staff members peeked at her medical records, despite having no clinical reason to do so.
I’m glad somebody brought this up! I have been pondering this very issue lately: particularly in light of the mentioned Britney Spears incident.
Great article!

By the time I got to Page 11 of the restraining order filed by her mother, cold chills ran through my body.
“Sam told Jackie and me that he grinds up Britney’s pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdal (an anti-psychotic drug for schizophrenia and bipolarity) and Seroquel.” The docs continue, “He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to heal her brain.”

For the second time in a month, Britney Spears has been hospitalized for her mental health concerns. And not exactly in a quiet or private way.
The Los Angeles Times reported this morning that Britney Spears’ was taken to the UCLA Medical Center under a “mental health evaluation hold,” a period of 72 hours when the hospital will once again evaluate Ms. Spears’ mental health and whether she is being compliant with her treatment regimen.
This is the second time Ms. Spears has been hospitalized this month under a mental health evaluation hold (called a “5150″ in California parlance).
When she was sane and a pop star on MTV, I didn't care about her. I shouldn't care about her now that she's out of control. I can't stop staring at her. I actually clicked on the link to see a picture of her period panties. I actually clicked the link. Why? Why would I do such a thing? Her dissent into madness means nothing. Her music never meant anything. Her relationships with her family are not important to me. I can't stop reading about them.My difficulty in stopping watching the Britney dramedy is like my inability to get out of my marriage. I don't like the way it makes me feel. I don't like putting this shit into my head. It's spiritually degrading. It's emotionally exhausting. I don't know how to stop doing it.My husband is downstairs in the first stages of withdrawal. He didn't hav...

After Britney Said No, Dr. Phil Says No Too

As the story continues with Britney Spears and Phil McGraw (”Dr. Phil”), the spotlight begins to shine more on the good doctor and his ethics. After being rebuffed by Ms. Spears as she was being discharged at the hospital, Dr. Phil decides not to go forward with a show highlighting her recent concerns.
The Associated Press asks the question about Dr. Phil’s ethics today, and makes a pretty good case that perhaps he stepped over the line with his attempts to exploit Ms. Spears’ recent hospitalization. This is what Dr. Phil said:

As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show today, focusin...

Britney Spears May Have Bipolar Disorder

So now that Britney Spears has left the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, questions are swirling around whether or not she may have bipolar disorder, a serious mental disorder characterized by mood swings between extreme depression and mania (e.g., high energy). When bipolar disorder is left untreated — whether via medications or other methods — people with this disorder can go back and forth between these two extremes (called “cycling”). If it happens a few times a week (or even a day), the person would have what’s called “rapid cycling,” but it’s more common for people to cycle between the two moods more slowly, over a few weeks’ or months’ time.
The rumor about her possible bipolar disorder diagnosis comes from frien...

Britney Spears Hospitalized, Involuntarily Held for Mental Evaluation

We feel badly for Britney Spears. Watching her self-destruct in the public eye over the past year has just been beyond words. Most people find such self-destruction good fodder for entertainment, but I’m disturbed by the seeming lack of anyone able to get through to her and get her into real treatment.
Maybe last night’s events will get through to her.
Whether she likes it or not, she appears to have been hospitalized overnight in California on a 5150 hold, which refers to the legal code that allows a California hospital to hold a person involuntarily due to psychiatric concerns. Specifically, because the clinicians or who initially evaluated her were concerned that she was a danger to herself or to others. These are not just used if a person is drunk — they have to hav...

“Sometimes mothers can do no right” proclaims a July 29th New York Times article targeting Dina Lohan for the foibles, addictions, and recent arrest of her daughter, Lindsay Lohan.
Mother blame? Nothing new if you’re the mother of an autistic child.
Though widely discredited, the “refrigerator mother” theory of autism—-that children withdrew and retreated into themselves because of cold, emotionally “frigid” parents—-promulgated by self-proclaimed early childhood expert Bruno Bettelheim has left its mark on popular perceptions of autism. I sometimes wonder if remnants of this theory remain in the popular understanding of autism, and unconsciously fuel the insistence of many parents that some external, tangible agent (vaccines; thimeraso...

Paris Hilton's publicists have been vigorously bending over backwards to push away the fact that Paris and Britney Spears hung out like sisters for a brief few weeks before Britney's meltdown. And Paris' publists are right to state that there is no connection, because it's true: Britney's meltdown has nothing to do with any emotional ties or mishaps that came along while, or because of, chumming with Paris and company. What we see Britney experiencing today are the effects and after-affects of applied mind control techniques. Particular people close to Paris have used Paris as a conduit to drop hypno-tropic subliminal scripts in order to take control of (and thus destroy) Britney and her place as a media and cultural darling and money machine.Paris is tangently aware of this attempt to contr...

Britney Spears is the first popular public figure to make it here onto this blog by the sheer context of her developing psychosis. She does so with this recent act of shaving off all the hair on her head. So what does it mean for Britney Spears to shave off her hair? No, it's not a fashion statement, nor is it an act meant to steer an interested public into a new style or way of living.Simply put, with this act she shows herself as a person who feels completely not in control of herself. In other words, she feels overwhelming controlled by others other than herself. Her hair is the one thing closest to her that she feels is hers, and is also something that's hers and she can (safely) take away at will and effectively say, "See, this is mine, not yours!" We don't know exactly who she's symb...

Someone e-mailed me Britney Spears upskirt pics. For future reference, I am not interested in such e-mailed items in the future. The question sent with them was whether or not she could use a labiaplasty. I could not tell from the images thankfully. I could however see that she has likely not had a tummy tuck (unless she just had a muscular repair.) Alone a muscular repair does little. A full tummy tuck removes skin nad fat and tightens the muscles. In one of the images sent my way, there appears to be a C-section scar that stops short of where it would go for a tummy tuck even a mini tummy tuck.
