The screening signs and symptoms of BCVI include:
Focal neuorlogical deficit
Arterial hemorrhage
Cervical bruit in a patient less than 50 years of age
Expanding neck hematoma
Neurological exam inconsistent with head CT scan

            <description>The theme for the World Stroke Day 2009 is &amp;#8220;Stroke, what can I do?&amp;#8221;

Strokes. People have heard of them. Many think they know what they are. Many don&amp;#8217;t know the signs of a stroke. Are you at risk of having a stroke? Would you know if you or someone else was having a stroke?
The World Stroke Organization is encouraging everyone to become more aware of strokes and to help prevent the disability and death that so often occur after a stroke.

The World Stroke Organization (WSO) was created on October 29, 2006, at the Regional World Stroke Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, when the International Stroke Society and the World Stroke Federation merged into a single organization. <title>Using Wolfram Alpha to get medical statistics for Malaysia</title>
            <link>http://www.medworm.com/index.php?rid=2862452&amp;cid=t_194436_87_f&amp;fid=34935&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fmedicine.com.my%2Fwp%2F%3Fp%3D7943</link>
            <description>SE asked in the Shoutbox:
Hi may i know where can i get statistical data on stroke in Malaysia?
Long answer:
Use the usual search/publication engines to look for published data
1) Pubmed
2) Google Scholar
3) Google
4) Ask NASAM
Quick answer:
Use Wolfram Apha, the computational knowledge engine. Just input &amp;#8220;stroke&amp;#8221; and &amp;#8220;malaysia&amp;#8221; and you get the answer but I am not sure how accurate the data is - best you use the long method if it is important.
