<title>Tonight’s Gluten-Free Menu Item Choice: Is It Celiac SAFE; or Is It Simply Gluten?</title>
            <link>http://www.medworm.com/index.php?rid=2989331&amp;cid=t_309847_129_f&amp;fid=39065&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Ffeedproxy.google.com%2F%7Er%2Fgluten-freesimplicity%2FGNKb%2F%7E3%2F-Y6CfjJB6Y4%2F</link>
<description>Surely, I will put together a list of &quot;probably safe&quot; and &quot;possibly not&quot; Gluten-Free &quot;safe&quot; menu items soon. And I will publish it. But for now, I think the &quot;Safe&quot; thing to do would be for America's Corporate Bosses to wax sincerely about the &quot;Gluten-Free&quot; issue or NOT wax at all. And I think that those of us who sometimes have emotional rants in our empty dining enjoyment quests that sometimes lead to &quot;Gluten-Free&quot; starvation -- oh... and I have been there many times too.. -- should also think next time before we blast an unsuspecting cashier the local &quot;Minute Burger Joint&quot;. <title>The Coeliac scam</title>

<description>JuvelaI have from time to time written about the coeliac disease outrage. Anyone diagnosed as having gluten sensitivity is entitled to free prescriptions for the rest of their life for gluten free food. Courtesy of the taxpayer. Most (not all) gluten free food is more expensive than “ordinary” food. Big Pharma and their clients dine out on this big time. One of the leading suppliers is Juvela. They have a website devoted to flogging their goods.OK, I am not suggesting that patients with coeliac disease should not have some support from the NHS in case of genuine financial need - though frankly I can think of more deserving cases. But like all family doctors in the country I am both cynical and angry about repeat prescription demands like this:Juvela Gluten-Free Lasagne 250 grams x 2 £...</description>

            <title>The GP who hates coeliacs??</title>
            <link>http://www.medworm.com/index.php?rid=1256205&amp;cid=t_309847_87_f&amp;fid=34595&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fnhsblogdoc.blogspot.com%2F2008%2F02%2Fgp-who-hates-coeliacs.html</link>
<description>Oh dear!A few days ago, I did a short post about the cost to the taxpayer of underwriting the total cost of a teenager's burger buns. It is indicative of the way the NHS now is that this has been picked up by a Coeliac Forum where there is a whole thread devoted to me in which I am styled asThe GP who hates coeliacsThat is an outrageous slur. And also, in terms of what The Shrink and I have been discussing, it is wrong to talk about &quot;coeliacs&quot;. I assume they mean fellow human beings who happen to have gluten sensitivity.
