Today is a special day for me. Today is D-Blog day (the 5th annual! (special thanks to Gina Capone)!
Today, I’ve got butterflies in my stomach, which usually only happens when I sit in the back seat of a moving vehicle. That’s not because it’s D-Blog day today, either, although I want to start out by sending lots of love to all my fellow diabetes bloggers, and you wonderful people who read our [...] (Source: Diabetes Mine)

This is the second year I've participated in D-blog . Gina is the master mind behind D-blog day. I am blog empty! I have a lot to say but can't get it out of my head. I am trying to get ready to go home (Kansas City, MO) and prepare for a World Diabetes Day Luncheon I will be speaking at....I wanted to paint a picture of what I hope the event looks like: There are a lot of different ways people celebrate World Diabetes Day,

committee of a luncheon at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center.
I have volunteered at the health center since the age of 9. Nina Howard

The diabetes online community has come a darn long way in just a few short years. Today, Nov. 9, was dubbed the official “Annual Diabetes Blog Day” by Gina Capone of the Talkfest back in the “early days” of 2005. I can’t believe it’s been three whole years since I asked readers to “Talk to [...] (Source: Diabetes Mine)

I've been absent from blogging for the most part and almost completely absent from commenting. Even so, I've been reading consistently and am still inspired, challenged, encouraged, saddened, angered... every day by the posts of the DOC. Regardless of how faithfully I post and comment, I am thankful to be a part of this community.Thank you. (Source: orsa aetas)
