After at least 20 minutes of research, here they are, in Letterman-style countdown order:
10. High Fat Diets Make Us Lazy & Stupid (Really? Us? Or just the rats?)
9. dLife: People are Stupid (a little dated, but still relevant?)
8. Eureka! It’s the Soda’s Fault

This Tuesday, March 2, was Dr. Seuss’ birthday. I can’t believe I nearly missed it this year. I really should make it an annual tradition to reprint the following, which I penned back in March 2005. This thing has ricocheted around the diabetes community, across the US and beyond:

I’m not sure you all share my sense of humor — but this post, from back in Spring of 2006, still makes me laugh:

Name That Absurdity
Lots of little oddities are overheard in this crazy sugar- challenged life we lead. Care to take a gander at which statements recently peppered which daily situations? (Answers [...] (Source: Diabetes Mine)

I asked for some input on what a new diabetes web site could offer, and I got it – Thank You! Ahem… ask a silly question, get a silly answer, right? I mean it should have been obvious that the No. 1 thing that fits under the heading “StupidDiabetes.com” is humor!

We weren’t exactly bombarded with diabetes-related April Fools Funnies yesterday, but we still had fun. And believe it or not, Haidee and I agreed that TWO people should win free copies of her irreverent cartoon book, “One Lump or Two?”

Last night, after Erik and I saw Bloc Party at Terminal 5, I grabbed my glucose meter out of my purse so I could test my blood sugar.
As I pricked my finger, Erik said, “Let’s make it a game and guess what you are!”
Oh boy…
“I think you’re 180,” Erik said. “I see that number a lot. Not that that has anything to do with anything.” See, he’s learning.
I contemplated what my blood sugars had been lately (220 mg/dl at dinner), what I had eaten (Wendy’s chicken sandwich and fries, followed by a veggie empanada at Terminal 5) and how I “felt” (which we all know means nothing).
“Uh… 260…” I guessed. I figured I was high. I ate food I liked which is a pretty good predictor of a not-so-happy n...

It’s the Lemonade Life Show!!!
::shouts and cheers of joy::
Yeah, that’s right. You know you’re excited. Allison has a Macbook and that means she’s now joining the crazy world of VLOGGING. Only problem: what to vlog about? As per my usual midweek tradition, I turned to my friends and fans in the Twittersphere for a little guidance as to what I should talk about for my first “show”.

OK, some of the ideas are good. Some are a little… weird… (::cough::George::cough::). I’m still looking for ideas as I haven’t recorded anything yet. Do you have something you have always wanted to ask me? Anything that I’ve written about that you want me to elaborate on? I’m all ears! (Well, I’m all eyes, considering this is the In...

I posted this today on my new site at www.joyofdiabetes.ning.com It kinda sums up how D’ life and it’s rhythm just get better with practice.

As I played drums last night , I noticed how I have improved at carrying some simple rhythms consistently during the songs. I used to struggle a lot more to carry [...] (Source: SugarStats.com - Simple, Online Blood Sugar Tracking for Diabetes Management)
