<title>Too Much or Little Sleep Increases Diabetes</title>
            <link>http://www.medworm.com/index.php?rid=2376272&amp;cid=t_237963_111_f&amp;fid=36048&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.b5media.com%2F%7Er%2Fb5media%2FAHeartyLife%2F%7E3%2FpNMI9hMxDQk%2F</link>
<description>A new study has found that if you sleep under seven hours a night repeatedly, it could put you at risk for Type 2 diabetes. The ironic part is the second half of this study. If you sleep more than eight hours a night you could also be at risk. That’s right, if you sleep too much or too little, the risk is the same.
One source says that the “findings, published in the journal Sleep Medicine, suggest seven to eight hours&amp;#8217; sleep a night seems to be the ideal amount for adults to protect against common diseases and premature death.”

As more and more people lead busier lives, they tend to get less sleep. More research is required to determine the link between lack of sleep and diabetes, but one thought is that it increases cravings for carbohydrates and sugar.
