            <description>Recently I started getting into microloans. A microloan is a small sum loaned to an individual or group, usually in a developing country, that they can use to help complete projects that are important to them, start or expand a business, and more.
One thing that encouraged me to take a look into this was when I learned of people who can&amp;#8217;t lift themselves out of poverty because they don&amp;#8217;t have a nickel. Imagine being in debt for the rest of your life and watching your kids go hungry for the lack of a few pennies.
In some countries the lack of access to capital is the main limiting factor in creating prosperity. I heard one story where a combined loan of $42 would have been enough to lift 27 people out of poverty (that&amp;#8217;s only $1.56 per person).

Busy people often have backdoor channels where they automatically pay more attention to incoming communication. In order to use these channels effectively, it helps if you have genuine shared interests that are somewhat uncommon.

Avoid cold-calling.
Avoid cold-calling if possible. Busy people get cold calls (and a lot more cold emails) every day. This is yet another pattern that gets filtered. Cold calling is essentially the same thing as spam.
As with spam, cold-calling will sometimes result in a hit. But it requires that you pester and annoy a lot of other people for each hit you generate. It’s a very low-class form of networking and very inefficient.

            <description>A while ago, I had announced my involvement with a new blog. Well it didn&amp;#8217;t quite work out in its original form, but it&amp;#8217;s back. I&amp;#8217;d like to announce the (re)launch of TechBizMedia. In it&amp;#8217;s current incarnation, it is targeted towards entrepreneurs, startups, and marketers in the technology sector and provides an opportunity to talk about my opinions and experiences as a marketer and strategist. I am quite excited about the new version and look forward to seeing you there.
