Vascular and Neural Invasion in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Study in an Iranian Population
CONCLUSION: The relation between neural and vascular invasion in OSCC with tumor's location was statistically significant. Lip and tongue carcinoma had shown more neurovascular invasion without relation to gender, age, and cell differentiation.PMID:37200766 | PMC:PMC10186046 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_220_21

In vitro study of normoxic epidermal growth factor receptor–induced hypoxia‐inducible factor‐1‐alpha, vascular endothelial growth factor, and BNIP3 expression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines: Implications for anti–epidermal growth factor receptor therapy
ConclusionThe search for molecular predictors of sensitivity to gefitinib in HNSCC should be extended to the activation status of EGFR‐downstream pathways, phosphorylated protein kinase B, pMAPK, and HIF‐1α. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Head Neck, 2014

NCAPG is a prognostic biomarker associated with vascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma
CONCLUSIONS: NCAPG upregulation is associated with poor prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with vascular invasion.PMID:34919223 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202112_27417

< em > TFEB < /em > -translocated and -amplified renal cell carcinoma with < em > VEGFA < /em > co-amplification: A case of long-term control by multimodal therapy including a vascular endothelial growth factor-receptor inhibitor
CONCLUSION: A good long-term response to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor drug therapy may be due to VEGFA amplification and subsequent vascular endothelial growth factor overexpression.PMID:37144078 | PMC:PMC10151203 | DOI:10.1002/iju5.12575

Matrix metalloproteinase 12 (MMP12) as an adverse prognostic biomarker of vascular invasion in hepatic cell carcinoma
CONCLUSIONS: Upregulation of MMP12 was associated with poor prognosis and vascular invasion in HCC. These data suggest that MMP12 may have potential as a therapeutic target and biomarker in HCC.PMID:35442508 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202204_28454

Regulatory tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes prevail in endometrial tumors with low vascular survival ability
CONCLUSIONS: Low vascular survival ability relates to high accumulation of regulatory T-cells in inner tumor areas of endometrial carcinomas. The current data hypothesizes meaningful interactions between vascular survival, microenvironmental conditions, and immunosuppression in endometrial cancer.PMID:33725493 | DOI:10.1016/j.imbio.2021.152078

Sphingosine 1-phosphate and its regulatory role in vascular endothelial cells
We presently review the levels of S1P in those vascular and vascular-related diseases. Plasma S1P levels were reduced in various inflammation-related diseases such as atherosclerosis and sepsis, but were increased in other diseases including type 2 diabetes, neurodegeneration, cerebrovascular damages such as acute ischemic stroke, Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, angina, heart failure, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, community-acquired pneumonia, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Then, we highlighted the molecular mechanism by which S1P regulated EC biology including vascular development and angiogenesis, inflammation, p...
