JAK/STAT pathway interacts with intercellular cell adhesion molecule (ICAM) and vascular cell adhesion molecule (VCAM) while prostate cancer stem cells form tumor spheroids.

Vascular targeted photodynamic (VTP) therapy using WST11 has been clinically investigated as a focal therapy for localized Prostate Cancer (PCa). Preclinical studies showed that WST11-VTP creates a strong antitumor immune reaction by exposing tumor antigens and danger associated molecular patterns, hastening immune cells to the ablated area and more. We set out to evaluate if treatment with cyclophosphamide (CTX) as an immune modulator prior to VTP might reduce/prevent metastatic disease in an orthotopic animal model of locally advanced aggressive PCa.

Ligation-free technique for dorsal vascular complex control during laparoscopic radical prostatectomy: a single-center experience from China
Conclusions This present ligation-free technique showed a statistically significant shorter interval to recovery of continence and higher continence rates in short-term postoperative results by contrast to conventional suture ligation, but no significant difference was revealed in long-term urinary control. We offer this technique and the correlative data to provide more information for deeply understanding the precise construction of the dorsal vascular complex and the mechanism of urinary control.

Do all men with pathological Gleason score 8 –10 prostate cancer have poor outcomes? Results from the SEARCH database
ConclusionsIn patients with high grade (Gleason score 8–10) prostate cancer after RP, the presence of either PSMs, ECE or SVI was associated with an increased risk of early BCR, with a 2‐year BCR risk of ≥50%. Conversely, men with organ‐confined margin‐negative disease had a very low risk of early BCR despite Gleason score 8–10 disease.

A Phase II Trial of Humanized Anti ‐Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Antibody for the Treatment of Androgen‐Independent Prostate Cancer
Conclusions: We concluded that single‐agent rhuMAb VEGF in this dose and with this schedule did not produce significant objective responses in patients with AIPC. Further development of this agent in patients with prostate cancer should focus on earlier stage disease or should evaluate it in combination with other therapies.

Changes in Lymphangiogenesis and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Expression by Neo ‐Adjuvant Hormonal Therapy in Prostate Cancer Patients

Number of Unfavorable Intermediate ‐Risk Factors Predicts Pathologic Upstaging and Prostate Cancer‐Specific Mortality Following Radical Prostatectomy: Results From the SEARCH Database
CONCLUSIONSPatients with UIR prostate cancer are at increased risk of PSA relapse, DM, and pathologic upstaging following prostatectomy.
