Sympathetic Nervous System Responses to Acute Psychosocial Stress in Male Physicians With Clinical Burnout
CONCLUSIONS: Burnout may be linked to dysfunction of the sympathoadrenal medullary (SAM) system, when exposed to acute psychosocial stress. Guided LGBTQ-affirmative internet cognitive-behavioral therapy for sexual minority youth's mental health: A randomized controlled trial of a minority stress treatment approach
CONCLUSIONS: LGBTQ-affirmative ICBT represents a feasible and acceptable treatment. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Depersonalization Derealization Disorder (DDD): a self-controlled cross-over study of waiting list vs. active treatment
We report on a clinical audit of 36 participants with a diagnosis of chronic DDD who were sequentially recruited from a specialist DDD National Health Service clinic in London, United Kingdom, and who completed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy specifically adapted for DDD. The sample population had a mean age of 38.7 years (s.d. = 13.4), 61% were male and 69% were of White ethnicity. Mental Health Screening Differences in Non-English Speaking Patients: Results From a Retrospective Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONS: Results highlight the inequities between the language groups that are probably the result of the challenges to access multilingual depression and anxiety screening instruments. Furthermore, providers may be prone to bias about who they think "needs" a mental health screening.
