Potential financial impact on television networks of a ban on alcohol advertising during sports broadcasts in Australia
CONCLUSIONS: Alcohol advertising during sports broadcasts is pervasive but contributes a relatively small proportion of revenue for television networks. Family History and Alcohol Use Outcomes: Examining Transmission of Risk through Impulsivity and the Moderating Role of Organized Sports Participation
CONCLUSIONS: Impulsivity dimensions are risk factors for both alcohol consumption and AUD symptoms and serve as important pathways for the transmission of risk between generations. Is alcohol and community sport a good mix? Alcohol management, consumption and social capital in community sports clubs.
Conclusion and implications: The positive contribution of community sports clubs to the community may be diminished by specific inadequate alcohol management practices. Changing alcohol management practices can reduce alcohol consumption, and possibly increase perceived aspects of social capital, such as safety and participation. Conclusions Sponsorship of Australian sport governing bodies by companies promoting unhealthy food and beverage, alcohol and gambling products is prevalent at the state/territory and national level. ConclusionOA might be a risk factor for developing symptoms of CMD in former elite athletes.
