We applaud Kiely et al.1 for their excellent systematic review and meta-analysis of the accuracy of different modalities of perforator mapping. They reported findings with regard to preoperative perforator mapping and intraoperative perforator selection from studies involving women (over the age of 18 years) undergoing unilateral breast reconstruction using a deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap. South Africa: SA Aids 2023 - New Treatments and Guidelines to Benefit Children, With More Advances On the Horizon
