Post-dural puncture headache incidence after cerebrospinal fluid aspiration. A prospective observational study
Conclusions: Aspiration of the CSF during LP was not associated with increased rates of PDPH compared to the standard method, particularly when larger amounts of CSF are required and ideal conditions are met. This is the first study looking into this matter, aiming to add safety to the procedure. Further randomized trials are required. Incidência é variável; frequentemente associada a mulheres jovens.

Combining neuropsychological tests to improve the assessment of arithmetic difficulties in children with ADHD
Conclusions: The present study detected arithmetic difficulties in Brazilian children with ADHD and the effects of methylphenidate. Given this improvement in sensitivity, combining tests could be a promising alternative when working with limited samples.

Dopaminergic drugs alter beta coherence during motor imagery and motor execution in healthy adults
Conclusion: The administration of methylphenidate and risperidone was able to produce electrocortical changes of the cortical central regions, even when featuring antagonistic effects on the dopaminergic pathways. Moreover, the execution task allowed beta-band modulation increase.

Diagnostic prediction model for levodopa-induced dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease
Conclusion: Predicted probability of LID can be estimated with reasonable accuracy using a diagnostic clinical prediction model which combines age of PD onset, disease duration, initial motor symptom and use of dopaminergic agonists.

Evaluation of upper endoscopic findings in patients with restless legs syndrome and gastric complaints
Conclusions: The detection of increased severity of intestinal metaplasia, mucosal atrophy, and gastric inflammation in RLS/WED patients with dyspeptic complaints may entail the close gastrointestinal system evaluation of these patients. However, larger randomized and controlled trials are required on this subject where patients are evaluated by upper GIS endoscopic biopsy.

Electrophysiological evaluation of carpal tunnel syndrome female patients after vitamin D replacement
Conclusion: In this study, it was shown that mild and moderate CTS patients had an improvement in pain and electrophysiological parameters after vitamin D replacement. Replacing vitamin D in early stages of CTS may be beneficial.

Medical management after subthalamic stimulation in Parkinson’s disease: a phenotype perspective
In this study, we review the literature data on acute medical management after STN DBS in PD and propose a clinical algorithm on medical management focused on the patient ’ s phenotypic profile at the perioperative period. Overall, across the trials, the levodopa equivalent daily dose is reduced by 30 to 50% one year after surgery. In patients taking high doses of dopaminergic drugs or with high risk of impulse control disorders, an initial reduction in dopamine agonists after STN DBS is recommended to avoid the hyperdopaminergic syndrome, particularly hypomania. On the other hand, a rapid reduction of dopaminergic agoni...

Ondine’s curse: the origin of the myth
ABSTRACT Central alveolar hypoventilation syndrome has been known for decades as Ondine ’ s curse. It was named as such after a German myth. Although most of the stories resemble one another, word of mouth has led to misinterpretation of this tale among the medical community. The present paper reviews the original narrative, its characters, and how it is linked to the most relevant aspects of the disease.RESUMEN El s índrome de hipoventilación alveolar central (por sus siglas en inglés) se conoce desde hace décadas como la maldición de Ondine.
