Neuro-Ophthalmological Complications of the COVID-19 Vaccines: A Systematic Review
Conclusion: Since the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the past year, several post-COVID-vaccination neuro-ophthalmological complications have been described. However, considering the number of individuals that have been exposed to the vaccines, the risk seems very low, and the clinical outcome in most cases is favorable. Therefore, on a population level, the benefits of the vaccines far outweigh the risk of neuro-ophthalmological complications.

Neurological and Ophthalmological Manifestations of Varicella Zoster Virus
Conclusions: HZ produces a spectrum of potentially blinding and life-threatening complications that adversely affect quality of life and increase health care costs. Individuals at risk for HZ, such as the elderly and immunocompromised, should be encouraged to receive the highly effective VZV vaccine to prevent HZ and its complications.

Exploring the purine core of 3'-C-ethynyladenosine (EAdo) in search of novel nucleoside therapeutics.
Abstract A series of new nucleoside analogues based on a C-3 branched ethynyl sugar derivative as present in 3'-C-ethynylcytidine (ECyd) and -adenosine (EAdo), combined with modified purine bases was synthetized and evaluated against a broad array of viruses and tumour cell lines. The pronounced cytostatic activity of EAdo was confirmed. EAdo and its 2,6-diaminopurine analogue showed inhibitory activity against vaccinia virus (EC50: 0.31 and 51μM, respectively).
