ConclusionsThis paper advances understanding of recovery in psychosis through consideration of the importance of reciprocity, and the identification and nurturance of relational strengths. The capacity of a young person to withdraw or hold back when trying to protect others is understood as an example of relational agency. Barriers and facilitators to providing CBT for people living with dementia: perceptions of psychological therapists
This study explored the facilitators and barriers to providing CBT interventions for people living with dementia or MCI, as perceived by therapists working in such services. Structured interviews were conducted with fourteen clinicians recruited through primary care psychological therapies services about their experiences of working with people living with dementia or MCI and their ideas about factors that enhance or hinder offering and delivering CBT to this population. Response styles, bipolar risk, and mood in students: The Behaviours Checklist
ConclusionsAppraisals, ascent, and descent behaviours may play an important role in the development and maintenance of mood swings. Limitations and research recommendations are outlined. Practitioner points Extreme positive and negative appraisals of internal states, and subsequent behavioural responses (ascent and descent behaviours), are associated with bipolar risk and bipolar mood symptoms in a student sample. These processes are involved with mood dysregulation in clinical populations as well as bipolar risk in students, with implications for mood management.

This article describes the way in which two distinct therapeutic models – Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy – have been interwoven in order to engage and captivate young people leaving care in a therapeutic relationship.
