The recurrence of odontogenic keratocysts in pediatric patients is associated with clinical findings of Gorlin-Goltz Syndrome.
CONCLUSION: Although uncommon in pediatric patients, OKC should be considered a differential diagnosis in cases of osteolytic lesions in gnathic bones. Thus, the periodic assessment of children by dentists and pediatricians is essential to get a correct diagnosis and early treatment to avoid greater mutilation of these patients. Structure-activity relationship study of cytotoxic neolignan derivatives using multivariate analysis and computation-aided drug design.
Abstract Dehydrodieugenol B and five related natural neolignans were isolated from the Brazilian plant species Nectandra leucantha. Three of these compounds were shown to be active against murine (B16F10) and human (A2058) melanoma cells but non-toxic to human fibroblasts (T75). These results stimulated the preparation of a series of 23 semi-synthetic derivatives in order to explore structure-activity relationships and study the biological potential of these derivatives against B16F10 and A2058 cell lines. These structurally-related neolignan derivatives were analyzed by multivariate statistics and machine learnin...

Strategies to optimize MEDLINE and EMBASE search strategies for anesthesiology systematic reviews. An experimental study.
CONCLUSIONS: In view of these results, we recommend that the search terms used should include both preferred and non-preferred terms (i.e. variant spellings and direct/indirect order of the same term) and associated MeSH and EMTREE terms, in order to develop highly-sensitive search strategies for systematic reviews. IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 3395: Trends in Online Search Activity and the Correlation with Daily New Cases of Monkeypox among 102 Countries or Territories
Min Liu Jue Liu Research assessing the trend in online search activity on monkeypox (mpox) and the correlation with the mpox epidemic at the global and national level is scarce. The trend of online search activity and the time-lag correlations between it and daily new mpox cases were estimated by using segmented interrupted time-series analysis and Spearman correlation coefficient (rs), respectively. We found that after the declaration of a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), the proportion of countries or territories with increasing changes in online search activity was lowest in Africa (8.16%,...

Search hours for food attractant by Anastrepha fraterculus and Ceratitis capitata (Diptera: Tephritidae) adults in guava orchards
This study was to determine the period and search time by attractive food for A. fraterculus and C. capitata adults by using three commercial food attractants: BioAnastrepha™ 5%; Isca Samaritá Tradicional™ 5% and Ceratrap™ 1.5%. The largest catches of A. fraterculus and C. capitata adults in McPhail traps occurred during the day between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm for both species. The BioAnastrepha™ food attractant provided the largest catches compared to Isca Samaritá Tradicional™ and Ceratrap™. In addition, there was a higher prevalence of capturing females than males, for both flies' species. The period of larges...
