The clinical effects of resveratrol on atherosclerosis treatment and its effect on the expression of NADPH oxidase complex genes in vascular smooth muscle cell line
In this study, the clinical effects of resveratrol were considered on atherosclerosis treatment and its effect on the expression of NADPH oxidase complex genes was performed in the vascular smooth muscle cell line. For this purpose, 120 Chinese Patients prone to atherosclerosis participated for 12 months. These patients were divided into two groups of 60 patients. The first group was treated to the placebo and the second group was treated to 100 mg/day resveratrol for 12 months. Also, the expression of gp91Phox and P22Phox subunits of NADPH oxidase complex was evaluated in vascular smooth muscle cells by real-time PCR tech...

Study on the material basis of Dahuang Zhechong Pill of anti-hepatoma effect by promoting vascular normalization
Biomed Chromatogr. 2021 Dec 29:e5305. doi: 10.1002/bmc.5305. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDahuang Zhechong Pill (DHZCP) is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription to treat many diseases especially Chronic Liver Diseases (CLD) accompanied by promoting vascular normalization. In this work, UPLC-Q/TOF-MS/MS analysis was applied to identify the chemical components absorbed in the blood. HIF-1α, VEGF, Ang2 and Tie2 related to vascular normalization were detected to determine the dynamic changes of pharmacodynamics indicators. Then, the spectrum-effect relationship analysis between UHPLC fingerprint and pharmacodynamics in...

Efficacy and safety of Buyang-Huanwu-Tang (Boyang-Hwano-Tang) in patients with vascular dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The results support the clinical use of BHT for the improvement of cognitive function in patients with vascular dementia. The methodological quality of the included studies was relatively poor. Therefore, further rigorously designed trials are required.PMID:35168040 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctcp.2022.101547

Association Between Immunoglobulin G N-glycosylation and Vascular Cognitive Impairment in a Sample With Atherosclerosis: A Case-Control Study
CONCLUSION: The findings indicate that decreased sialylation and galactosylation and increased bisecting GlcNAc reflected by IgG N-glycans might affect the occurrence of VCI in patients with atherosclerosis though promoting the proinflammatory function of IgG. IgG N-glycans may serve as potential biomarkers to distinguish VCI in individuals with atherosclerosis.PMID:35221999 | PMC:PMC8868374 | DOI:10.3389/fnagi.2022.823468

Effect of exercises on the maturation of newly created arteriovenous fistulas over distal and proximal upper limb: A systematic review and meta-analysis
In conclusion, existing upper extremity exercise programs appear to be useful in facilitating maturation of AVFs created in distal region, while its effect on fistulas created in proximal region is less certain. However, more robust trials are warranted to establish these findings.PMID:35633081 | DOI:10.1177/11297298221100446

Effectiveness of acupuncture for patients with vascular dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture is probably helpful in vascular stroke, but strong supportive data are not yet available. Acupuncture should be used cautiously, owing to the analysis of this study based on low to moderate evidence. Further high-quality, large-scale RCTs should be conducted.PMID:35843473 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctim.2022.102857
