This study examines how young Africans made sense of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) and PMTCT and related barriers and facilitators between 1997 and 2014 in the context of these complex and changing recommendations. It uses a distinctive data source: 1343 creative narratives submitted to HIV-themed scriptwriting competitions by young people aged 10–24 from 5 African countries (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Kenya, and Swaziland) between 1997 and 2014. Computed tomography scanner census and adult head dose in Nigeria
ConclusionComputed tomography scanners distinctly located in Nigeria were 183. The first installation in the country was in 1987, suggestive of an annual average of 6 installations. Dose from different facilities showed wide variations. The establishment of national diagnostic reference levels (nDRLs) to reduce arbitrariness in dose administration is imperative. While this is awaited, radiographers have a moral and ethical obligation to pay more attention to optimization of patient protection.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Capacity in Referral Hospitals in Nigeria: Understanding the Global Health Disparity in Resuscitation Medicine.
CONCLUSION: In this first large-scale assessment of resuscitation care in Nigeria, we found progress in training centre development and supply availability, but a paucity of cardiac arrest response team systems. Feasibility of patent and proprietary medicine vendor provision of injectable contraceptives: preliminary results from implementation science research in Oyo and Nasarawa, Nigeria
Nigerian policymakers are debating task-shifting injectable contraceptive services to Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs).Methodology.152 PPMVs were trained to provide injectable contraceptives in Oyo and Nasarawa states. Data were collected before and one, three and nine-months post-training. Chi-square tests were conducted to assess associations between survey time-points.Main Findings.Few PPMVs had the necessary knowledge to provide injectables pre-training. A majority demonstrated increased knowledge after the training.

Clinical pattern and antibiotic sensitivity of bacterial corneal ulcers in Kano, Northern Nigeria
Conclusion: Ocular trauma was the major predisposing factor to corneal ulcer, and Staphylococcus species was the major bacterial organism isolated.
