Intravitreal dexamethasone implant has better retinal perfusion than anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment for macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion: a five-year real-world study
Conclusion: DEX implant and anti-VEGF injection had comparative long-term effects on RVO-ME. Compared with the anti-VEGF treatment, the DEX treatment had advantages in maintaining retinal perfusion in patients with RVO.

Prognostic value of choroidal vascular index in determining response to intravitreal dexamethasone implant treatment used in refractory diabetic macular edema
AbstractTo investigate the effect of intravitreal dexamethasone (IVD) implant injection, which was used in the treatment of DME, on CVI and to investigate whether CVI can be used as a prognostic marker in the treatment of anti-VEGF resistant DME. A retrospective observational and comparative study. Twenty-five eyes of 25 patients with refractory diabetic macular edema who underwent intravitreal dexamethasone (IVD) implant and 50 eyes of 50 healthy patients were included in the study. Central macular thickness (CMT), subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT), luminal choroidal area (LCA), total choroidal area (TCA), stromal chor...

Cognitive impairment of MRL mice is related to NMDA receptor-mediated inflammatory response and production of adhesion molecules in MRL/lpr mice-derived micro-vascular endothelial cells
In conclusion, cognitive impairment of MRL mice might be associated with NMDA receptor-mediated inflammatory response and production of adhesion molecules in MRL/lpr mice-derived MVECs.PMID:37114958 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2023.125903
