Efficacy of a proprietary combination of < em > Tamarindus indica < /em > seeds and < em > Curcuma longa < /em > rhizome extracts in osteoarthritis: a clinical investigation
CONCLUSION: The anti-inflammatory botanical composition NXT15906F6 supplementation mitigated joint pain and improved musculoskeletal functions and joint motility in KOA subjects. This botanical composition was also well-tolerated by the volunteers.PMID:37351019 | PMC:PMC10284097 | DOI:10.29219/fnr.v67.9268

The effect of graded motor imagery training on pain, functional performance, motor imagery skills, and kinesiophobia after total knee arthroplasty: randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: GMI improved pain, motor imagery ability, pain catastrophizing, and kinesiophobia in the acute period after TKA.PMID:37344366 | DOI:10.3344/kjp.23020

Efficacy of the combination therapy of platelet-rich plasma and hyaluronic acid on improving knee pain and dysfunction in patients with moderate-to-severe KOA: a protocol for a randomised controlled trial
This study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of PRP and the combination therapy of PRP and HA in patients with moderate-to-severe KOA and to explore the potential synergistic effect of PRP and HA. Methods and analysis This triple-blind randomised controlled trial will involve a total of 162 participants with moderate-to-severe KOA from two study centres. Participants will be allocated randomly into three groups: the HA group, the PRP group and the combination (PRP+HA) group and, respectively, receive HA (2.5 mL)+saline (3 mL)/PRP (3 mL)+saline (2.5 mL)/PRP (3 mL)+HA (2.5 mL) intra-articular injection each week for 4 ...

Proximal tibia osteotomy with absorbable spacer combined with fibular osteotomy versus high tibial osteotomy for medial compartmental knee osteoarthritis
ConclusionsBoth approaches showed satisfactory functional outcomes and alleviated pain. However, TPOASI is a simple, feasible method with few complications, and it could be widely used.

Inflammatory ultrasound features as prognostic factors of pain and functional outcomes following intra ‐articular platelet‐rich plasma in knee osteoarthritis
ConclusionUltrasound indices of knee inflammation predicted short-term improvements in pain severity and both short- and longer-term improvements in function following intra-articular PRP injection.

Musculoskeletal Injury Concealment in  the Reserve Officers' Training Corps: A Survey of Cadets' Reporting Behaviors
CONCLUSIONS: Two-thirds of injuries went unreported in this sample of ROTC cadets. Functional limitations, symptom severity, and injury onset may be the largest factors that influence the decision to report or conceal musculoskeletal injuries. This study establishes the foundation for researching injury reporting in cadets and adds to the existing military evidence on the topic.PMID:37279561 | DOI:10.1093/milmed/usad202

Wearable sensor-based measures of step-up transfers are supplementary to patient-reported outcome measures following total joint arthroplasty
CONCLUSIONS: WOMAC function scores seem pain dominated. Measures of BS performance allow assessment of otherwise hidden residual functional impairment. Lower functioning 3 months post-surgery is predictive of longer-term impairment.PMID:37272492 | DOI:10.1080/09638288.2023.2219066
