Comparison of ultrasonography learning between distance teaching and traditional methodology. An educational systematic review
CONCLUSION: We found that learning via telemedicine methodologies presents great acceptance among students, besides demonstrating quality similar to the traditional method. Thus, at least at the moment, this has the capacity to serve as an important adjunct in the teaching of ultrasonography.REGISTRATION NUMBER: DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/CGUPA at the OPENSCIENCE Framework.PMID:36043680 | DOI:10.1590/1516-3180.2021.1047.R.19052022

Reference values for spirometry in preschool children.
CONCLUSION: Full expiratory curves are more difficult to obtain in preschoolers. In addition to height, gender also influences the measures of FVC and FEV1. Reference values were defined for spirometry in preschool children in this population, which are applicable to similar populations. PMID: 23791023 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Evidence of underdiagnosis and markers of high blood pressure risk in children aged 6 to 13 years.

The low frequency of BP measurement in children observed in this municipality contributes to the underdiagnosis of the disease, with irreversible consequences for these individuals. Indoor air quality and health in schools
Conclusions: Most of the schools evaluated presented with reasonable air quality and thermal comfort. However, the concentrations of various pollutants, especially CO2, suggest the need for corrective interventions, such as reducing air pollutant sources and improving ventilation. There was a statistically significant association between lack of concentration in the children and exposure to high levels of CO2. The overall low level of pollution in the city of Coimbra might explain the lack of other significant associations. Objetivo: Determinar se há uma associação entre a qualidade do ar interno em escolas e a prevalê...
