Safety of surgical masks during phisical activity evaluated with graded cycle ergometry test
CONCLUSIONS: Wearing SM had no effect on performance, since the duration of cycle ergometry test with SM and without SM median, respectively, was 14.2, [lower-upper quartile 13.9-14.8] versus 14.3 [13.9-15.5] minutes, p=0.094, and median peak power was 150 W [150-180] versus 150 W [120-180] p=0.754. When expressed relative to peak exercise performance, no differences were found between wearing or not wearing SM regarding arterial oxygen saturation, or heart rate at any time during the exercise tests. Detection of Concussion Using Cranial Accelerometry
Conclusions: In subjects with concussion, we observed a unique pattern determined by cranial accelerometry. This may provide a method to noninvasively detect and longitudinally observe concussion. Clinical Relevance: There is no objective, real-time, noninvasive, and easily accessible measure for concussion. If accelerometry is validated, it could provide a critical diagnostic tool for sports medicine physicians.

Left ventricular remodeling in young black athletes
Conclusions Also in young blacks athletes we can find an higher cardiac wall thickness compared to their Caucasian peers. This differences remained after 5 years giving probably reason of the fact that those remodelling events happened in the first years of life by genetic factors.
