An analysis of national trends in common nuclear medicine procedures: 2006 through 2015.
Conclusion: With several exceptions, radiopharmaceuticals approved by Medicare B for common NM procedures has shown a significant decrease since 2006 with the exception of PET. Greatest areas of growth were in cardiac and 18F-NaF PET. Lack of growth in 18F-FDG PET over recent years likely reflects restricted reimbursement. This data reflects NM utilization for outpatients > 65 years of age. Workload for a broader range of ages and inclusive of in-patients could yield slightly different results. The reason for declining NM workload is likely multifactorial. Research Support: N/A

Patients awareness on nuclear medicine studies- The impact of the SNMMI Value Initiative in Johannesburg, South Africa
Conclusions: This study shows the need to educate both patients and referring physicians, especially on information that explain what to expect regarding the different types of scans. The paucity of information given by the referring physicians indicates that we should engage our colleagues who are the first point of contact to patients referred for scans. Video clips are probably the best method to promote education of NM studies. Review of myocardial viability using Nuclear Medicine imaging in rare cardiac malposition of dextrocardia - understanding right approach.
Conclusion: The acquisition protocol of SPECT being semicircular orbit needs careful selection of arc by keeping the patient position as 'feet first supine' for various types of dextrocardia. The processing and reconstruction of data by changing patient position to prone was found to be most useful method to match the septal and lateral wall orientation for interpretation of images. Effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of senile hypotension: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions: The conclusions of our study will provide an evidence to judge whether TCM is an effective and safe intervention for patients with senile hypotension. Ethics and dissemination: This systematic review will be disseminated in a peer-reviewed journal or presented at relevant conferences. Effects of Kaixinjieyu, a Chinese herbal medicine preparation, on neurovascular unit dysfunction in rats with vascular depression
Conclusions: KJ has function of reducing depression-like behavior and improving cerebral hypoperfusion, which might be mediated by the up-regulation of neurogenesis and tight junction of BBB, and balance of the fibrinolytic system. The results imply that KJ is better than FLU in improving cerebral hypoperfusion and the fibrinolytic system.

Development of a deep learning-based interpretation model for brain perfusion SPECT leveraging unstructured reading reports
Conclusions: We suggest a pipeline for developing a deep learning-based image interpretation system for brain perfusion SPECT using image data combined with unstructured text reports. Considering that labels of medical images in the clinical routine are usually unstructured and complicated, an additional deep learning model to synthesize structured labels may facilitate the development of efficient image interpretation models based on CNN. According to our results, the deep learning-based image interpretation system of brain perfusion SPECT images is expected to be useful to support the human visual interpretation.

Cinnamomi Cortex and Scutellariae Radix in the Japanese herbal medicine Kampo saireito inhibit expression of iNOS through different mechanisms in hepatocytes
ConclusionCinnamomi Cortex and Scutellariae Radix can prevent the induction of iNOS gene expression, in part through NF ‐κB activation and IL‐1RI upregulation with different mechanisms, indicating that saireito containing both crude drugs may be a potential therapeutic treatment for injured livers.
