Conclusions
P-gp expression had no effect on the accumulation of [14C]efavirenz and [3H]nevirapine. MRP1/2 expression, lipophilicity and SLCO-like transporters (possibly SLCO3A1) may have greater influence on the accumulation of [14C]efavirenz than [3H]nevirapine.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) screening for breast cancer has greater sensitivity than conventional mammographic screening. Digital mammography gives maximum sensitivity in younger women with denser breasts. Combining MRI with digital mammography is likely to give maximum sensitivity. This additional sensitivity offered by MRI has the potential to identify breast cancer at an earlier stage, when the tumours are smaller in size and are not associated with metastases to regional lymph nodes.

The NHS breast cancer screening programme currently diagnoses over 14,000 cases of breast cancer each year and saves around 1,400 lives every year. However in 2008 27% of women failed to take up their right to breast screening. Figures show that if all women took up their right to screening an extra 600 lives could be saved.
