Exhaled Volatile Organic Compounds for Asthma Control Classification in Children with Moderate to Severe Asthma: Results from the SysPharmPediA Study
CONCLUSIONS: Exhaled metabolites analysis might enable asthma control classification in children. This should stimulate further development of exhaled metabolites-based point-of-care tests in asthma.PMID:38648186 | DOI:10.1164/rccm.202312-2270OC (Source: American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine)

Structural Lung Disease and Clinical Phenotype in Bronchiectasis Patients: The EMBARC CT Study
CONCLUSION: Patients with bronchiectasis have highly heterogeneous type and extent of structural lung abnormalities. Strong relationships between radiological disease and clinical features suggest CT analysis may be a useful tool for clinical phenotyping.PMID:38635862 | DOI:10.1164/rccm.202311-2109OC (Source: American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine)

Radiographic Outcomes in Paediatric Bronchiectasis and Factors Associated with Reversibility
CONCLUSIONS: This first large cohort confirms bronchiectasis in children is often reversible with appropriate management. Younger aged children and those with lesser radiographic severity at diagnosis were most likely to achieve radiographic reversibility whilst those with PsA infection were least likely.PMID:38631023 | DOI:10.1164/rccm.202402-0411OC (Source: American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine)
