The MACS-lift technique, from Tonnard and Verpaele, is a simple procedure for mediofacial aging. They use three purse-string sutures. The anchor points are within the deep temporal fascia. Sagging facial soft tissues are suspended with this loop. This procedure needs only local anesthesia. The postoperative following is simple. The results are natural and interesting. CONCLUSIONS: Microvascular free flaps have proved to be highly reliable and efficacious for restoration of missing elements of the nasal lining and adjacent facial soft-tissue defects in total and subtotal nasal reconstruction. Combined with a forehead flap, this aesthetic approach allows for reconstruction of the center of the face layer-by-layer and facial unit by facial unit. CONCLUSION: The asymmetry rate of our study is compared with the others studies found in the literature. In the daily practice, asymmetry can be diagnosed by a complete clinical examination and standardized chest wall pictures. Patients with constitutional asymmetry should be educated, helping to increase postoperative satisfaction. The authors propose and discuss a surgical pattern for the handling of the different types of asymmetries in breast augmentation. The authors report three cases of contaminated implant "salvage" after aesthetic breast augmentation. Patients' care included a lavage of the pocket, a change of the implant and an adapted bi-antibiotherapy of 6 weeks, including 8 days intravenous. In one case, this protocol has been started after failure of antibiotherapy alone. Patients, reviewed at 13 months or more, were not showing any signs of infection. One of them was showing a Baker's grade 3 capsule contracture on the infected side.
