Treatment of Cavernous Transformation of Portal Vein Caused by Hepatic Cystic Echinococcosis Using Ex Vivo Liver Resection and Autotransplantation
CONCLUSIONS Through this paper, we aim to detail the treatment process, showcasing the feasibility and advantages of ELRA. Additionally, we propose a novel approach for the treatment of this disease, while emphasizing the importance of radical resection surgery to prevent long-term complications.PMID:38622855 | DOI:10.12659/AOT.942358 (Source: Annals of Transplantation)

Impact of Blood Products Transfusion on Patients in the Immediate Post-Lung Transplant Period: A Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONS Among lung transplant recipients, PGD, ICU days, need for mechanical ventilation and ECMO support, and total composite events were significantly greater in patients who received blood transfusion perioperatively.PMID:38590090 | PMC:PMC11015745 | DOI:10.12659/AOT.943652 (Source: Annals of Transplantation)

Outcomes of Renal Transplantation in ANCA-Associated Vasculitis
CONCLUSIONS End-stage kidney disease patients with vasculitis, undergoing renal transplantation, are at elevated risk of mortality and postoperative infection compared to patients without antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis. The risk of relapse is also high in these patients. However, renal transplantation offers a survival advantage for vasculitis patients who survive the early post-transplantation period.PMID:38528671 | PMC:PMC10981353 | DOI:10.12659/AOT.943433 (Source: Annals of Transplantation)
