Factors affecting length of gestation in artificially inseminated Marwari mares of India
Conclusion From the current study it can be concluded that the true average gestation length for Marwari foals born is 344.1 ± 0.49 d. The range of gestation lengths was found to be 315–388 d all resulting in viable foals. The length of gestation is not significantly affected by age and parity of the mare. The only factors significantly affecting gestation length are foal gender and month of foaling (P < 0.05). Graphical abstract (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)

The effect of freeze-drying media and storage temperature on ultrastructure and DNA of freeze-dried buffalo bull spermatozoa
Conclusion From the present study, we demonstrated that the freeze-drying medium containing EGTA and EDTA solution were more efficient in avoiding damage to components of buffalo bull sperm, especially the nuclei. Therefore, the medium used for freeze-drying process directly affected sperm nuclear integrity. Also, the storage temperature of freeze-dried sperm affects sperm nuclear integrity. Oral dydrogesterone for luteal support in frozen-thawed embryo transfer artificial cycles: A pilot randomized controlled trial
Conclusion Given that oral dydrogesterone seems to be more accepted by patients in terms of ease of use, lower cost and satisfaction, it could be prescribed for luteal phase support in artificial FET cycles as effective as either intramuscular or vaginal supplements. The effects of selenium on the improvement of human sperm parameters after freezing and thawing procedures
In this study, the effects of pre-freezing treatment of human semen samples with selenium on semen parameters after thawing procedure were evaluated. Each sample was divided into four groups: two groups were washed and the other two remained unwashed. 5 μg/ml of selenium was added to one of the washed and unwashed group. The results showed that sperm motility in unwashed selenium-treated samples was higher compared to washed untreated samples (P<0.05). DNA damage percentage in unwashed treated samples compared to both untreated samples showed no difference (P>0.05) but in washed sperm samples, DNA damaged pe...

Prolificity of Portuguese Serrana Goats between 1987 and 2015
Conclusion These results suggest that females bred in July/August and October could be negatively affected by factors such as feed availability, environmental constraints and management conditions, with impacts on reproductive performance, namely on prolificity, which should be more investigated. Our study allows us to state that the Ribatejano and Jarmelista ecotypes presented higher prolificity than Transmontano ecotype probably due, in part, to genetic differences. Ultra-structure of testes of rats born to dams treated with hydroxy-progesterone hexanoate
Conclusion Prenatal exposure of male rats to HPH induces ultra-structural changes in the seminiferous tubules, SCs and LCs as well as it hampers spermatogenesis. Thus the future fecundity of males born to females treated with HPH during pregnancy will inevitably be affected. (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)

Microorganism spectrum of nonspecific vaginitis in women of infertile couples recognized by s-IgA uterine cervix secretion
Conclusion One of the bacteria species S. aureus that infects the vagina and causes nonspecific vaginitis can provoke adaptive immune response by producing s-IgA. Difference MW of OMP S. aureus can stimulate immune response between women of infertile couples. (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)

Hormonal changes and spermatogenesis of male rat puppies born by mothers consuming soybean extract
In conclusion, administration of soybean extract since the intrauterine period, during lactation and at the age of two months to male rats will lead to hormonal changes and impaired spermatogenesis. (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)

Substitution of egg yolk with different concentrations of soybean lecithin in tris-based extender during bulls' semen preservability
Conclusion 1% to 1.5% soya lecithin can effectively alternate egg yolk as cryoprotective additives for cryopreservation extender, without any detrimental effects on post-chilling and post-thaw semen quality in cattle bull. (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)

Seminal plasma hormonal profile of Arabian stallions that are classified ‘good’ or ‘poor’ for semen freezing
Conclusion Good freezer stallions could be selected depending on assaying seminal plasma hormones. Both estradiol and IGF-1 could be used as semen extender supplementation to improve sperm post-thaw motility, viability and acrosome integrity. (Source: Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction)
