Relationship between triglyceride-glucose index and new-onset hypertension in general population-a systemic review and meta-analysis of cohort studies
CONCLUSIONS: Elevated TyG index significantly increased the risk of new-onset hypertension in the general population. It is necessary to conduct the research to clarify the probable pathogenic processes underpinning the link between the TyG index and hypertension.PMID:38615327 | DOI:10.1080/10641963.2024.2341631 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Hypertension)

< em > Chicoric acid < /em > advanced PAQR3 ubiquitination to ameliorate ferroptosis in diabetes nephropathy through the relieving of the interaction between PAQR3 and P110 α pathway
CONCLUSION: Overall, our study has uncovered that CA promotes the ubiquitination of PAQR3, leading to the attenuation of ferroptosis in DN. This effect is achieved through the activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathways by disrupting the interaction between PAQR3 and the P110α pathway. These findings highlight the potential of CA as a viable therapeutic option for the prevention of DN and other forms of diabetes.PMID:38525833 | DOI:10.1080/10641963.2024.2326021 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Hypertension)

Omentin-1 ameliorates pulmonary arterial hypertension by inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress through AMPK α signaling
CONCLUSIONS: Our results reveal a protective effect of omentin-1 in PAH via inhibiting ER stress through AMPKα signaling and provide an agent with translational potential for the treatment of PAH.PMID:38527024 | DOI:10.1080/10641963.2024.2332695 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Hypertension)
