Many staff undertake work-based learning but few are accredited with the merits of this learning. It is necessary to utilize all forms of learning to accelerate workforce development and prepare staff for future roles within the NHS. To support local ‘working differently’ programmes’ we have been exploring how the NHS might take more advantage of accreditation of prior learning. One of the outputs from a recent project is the development of the ‘Getting the Credit Tool’.
