Conclusions It appears that cystodistension has a role in practice; however, its indications and benefits are still controversial and
there is a wide variation in the technique of cystodistension due to lack of standardisation. Further research is needed before
any conclusions about its benefits and safety can be made.

the first published case of vaginal vault prolapse and enterocele associated with small bowel obstruction and incarceration.
The pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment are discussed.

Abstract
Introduction and hypothesis Midurethral sling (MUS) is now the first line surgical treatment for female stress urinary incontinence. Our aim was to identify
predictors for MUS failure.
Methods A total of 1,225 consecutive women with urodynamic urinary stress incontinence had a synthetic MUS (955 retropubic and 270
transobturator) at our institution between 1999 and 2007. Multivariate analysis was performed in order to identify independent
risk factors for failure.
Results and conclusions At a mean follow-up of 50 ± 24 months (range, 12–114), the subjec...

We report a case of urethral
duplication in a woman with uterovaginal and rectal prolapse but without other associated congenital anomalies. On urodynamic
and cystoscopic evaluation, an accessory urethra was noted to emerge from beneath the clitoral hood. The patient underwent
exploratory laparotomy and transabdominal excision of the rudimentary urethral orifice with concurrent transvaginal prolapse
repair and rectopexy. At 5-year follow-up, the patient continued to be continent and without prolapse.

Conclusions ATT, NE, and LOXl-1 expression was variable among different biopsy sites in the vagina. No consistent pattern was present
when the subjects were grouped by the most prominent defect. We recommend careful consideration of biopsy sites in future
studies on POP to enhance reproducibility of data.

Reoperation rate for traditional anterior vaginal repair: analysis of 207 cases with a median 4-year follow-up

Conclusions While the anatomical recurrence rates for cystocele following traditional anterior colporrhaphy might be high, the low reoperation
rate at more than 4 years (3.4%) suggests that patient's symptoms might not be bothersome enough to require further surgery.
Both subjective and anatomical outcomes are required to assess the outcome of both traditional and new prolapse procedures.

We report the case of a 47-year-old woman with perineal
leiomyomas mimicking Bartholin's gland mass according to the preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings. Leiomyomas
in the vulvar region should be differentiated from complicated Bartholin’s gland cysts and preoperative MRI findings may be
misleading. The complete surgical excision should be the choice of treatment
