The effectiveness of targeted muscle reinnervation in reducing pain and improving quality of life for patients following lower limb amputation
Globally, over 1 million lower limb amputations are performed annually, with approximately 75% of patients experiencing significant pain, profoundly impacting their quality of life and functional capabilities (1, 2). Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR) has emerged as a surgical solution involving the rerouting of amputated nerves to specific muscle targets. Originally introduced to enhance signal amplification for myoelectric prosthesis control, TMR has expanded its applications to include neuroma management and pain relief. Evolutions in the use of Integra ® and MatriDerm® in excision and reconstruction of cutaneous malignancies
Surgical excision and reconstruction remain the mainstay of treatment for cutaneous skin cancers. In recent years, the use of acellular dermal matrices (ADMs) for reconstruction of wounds of varying aetiology has gained significant traction.1 They can be applied with ease, thus reducing operating times, lack donor site morbidity, and can be used in graftable or non-graftable beds to temporise the wound defect whilst waiting for confirmation of clear excision margins. Evidence regarding outcomes of different types of ADMs following skin cancer excision is limited. (Source: Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery)

Volumetric Assessment of Ulnar Nerves in Cubital Tunnel Syndrome with 3D Modeling of the MRI and its Relationship with Electrodiagnostic Findings
Thickened nerve cross sectional areas (CSA) have been investigated in compressive neuropathy, but the longitudinal extent of nerve swelling has yet to be evaluated. We did a volumetric assessment of the ulnar nerve in cubital tunnel syndrome (CuTS) with three-dimensional (3D) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) modeling and investigated this relationship with clinical and electrodiagnostic parameters. Cranioplasty is not required in the reconstruction of small combined scalp and calvarial defects
Treatment of scalp malignancies may include the need for craniectomy. The decision to perform cranioplasty is not straightforward and is frequently subjective. The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical outcomes after reconstruction of complex scalp and calvarial defects comparing patients with and without cranioplasty. The Super Thin External Pudendal Artery (STEPA) Flap for Labia Minora Reconstruction in Gender-Affirming Vaginoplasties
In gender-affirming vaginoplasty, the ideal labia minora should be well-defined and separate from the labia majora, extend from the clitoral hood to form an elliptical framework around the vaginal introitus and urethral meatus, and be gently covered by the labia majora.1 Penile-inversion vaginoplasty (PIV) techniques, using a random-patterned flap of penile and scrotal skin for the minoraplasty, often fail to achieve a lasting, well-defined separation between the labia minora and majora, and vaginal vestibule. Progression of Fluid Infiltration on Non-Contrast Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Breast Cancer-related Lymphedema: A Comparative Analysis with Indocyanine Green Lymphography
Non-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI) has been reported as valuable for the assessment of lymphedema. However, the correlation between NMRI findings and indocyanine green lymphography (ICG-L) findings remains elusive. (Source: Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery)

“Ambulatory Facial Feminization Surgery: A Comparative Analysis of Outcomes and Complications”
To date there are no studies investigating the safety and outcomes of facial feminization surgery (FFS) as an outpatient procedure. This is the first study of its kind analyzing the outcomes of ambulatory FFS based on a comparison of complications, postoperative Emergency Department or Urgent Care (ED/UC) visits, and readmissions between FFS with admission versus same-day surgery. Retrospective Study on Unilateral Polyotia Combined with Microtia Utilizing the Technique of Preserving Residual Ear Tissue
The presence of polyotia in individuals with microtia is a rare deformity. Due to the intricate structure of the auricle, uncertain etiology, and challenging corrective techniques, it has always been a focal point in the field of plastic surgery. The present study presents a technique for correcting the combination of polyotia and microtia by utilizing residual ear tissue as graft material.
